Description

Postgraduate research training opportunities to participate in the advancement of the social and behavioral sciences are available at the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Critical Incident Response Unit. Appointments will be served in Aquia, Virginia.

This program, administered by ORAU through its contract with the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, was established through an interagency agreement between DOE and the FBI.

Qualifications

Applicants must have received a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in in the social or behavoiral sciences within five years of the desired start date, or all requirements irements for the degree should be expected prior to the start date. Graduate students are also eligible to apply. Students will be required to show proof of enrollment each semester.

Appointment my be part or full time upto one year and may be renewed upon recommendation of FBI and contingent on the availability of funds. The participant will receive a monthly stipend. Funding may be made available to reimburse the participant’s travel expenses for project related travel. No funding will be made available to cover travel costs for relocation costs, tuition and fees, or participant’s health insurance. The participant must show proof of health and medical insurance. The participant does not become an FBI employee.
