The methods and models developed by CEMM are typically applied at the airshed, watershed and ecosystem level. Within CEMM, the Ecosystem Processes Division (EPD) develops methods and models to characterize the transport and transformation of chemicals and other stressors in ecosystems. CEMM/EPD scientists. CEMM scientists Conduct laboratory, field, and computational research to better understand how environmental processes and ecosystem conditions impact fate and transport of chemical and non-chemical stressors.
