ORAU’s Communications and Marketing (CM) Department provides communications and marketing support to the corporation and its customers. One of our most enduring missions as a company is to promote and support science education. Each summer, ORAU’s K-12 STEM Education team hosts students and teachers in multiple science education and STEM development workshops, academies, and courses, and the CM team provides promotional support and content marketing for those events. We invite interested students to join us in a “Summer of Science,” supporting the CM team in coverage of ORAU's Summer STEM programs for teachers and students, through writing, project management, photography, podcasting, social media, and more! This opportunity will have a weekly stipend starting at $700 a week.
What will I be doing?
Under the guidance of a mentor, you will be providing hands-on support to the CM team in all aspects of project management, event management, photography and videography, social media, podcasting, media relations, digital marketing and advertising, and writing/content development. Beyond the “Summer of Science” events and activities, you may be asked to support other ongoing projects and work of the CM team, including photo shoots, other special events, feature writing, etc.
What are the benefits?
This internship will provide you with well-rounded exposure to all things communications and marketing and will also be a fun and rewarding experience, as you help support students and teachers in their educational and professional development in STEM.
Pursuing or recent graduate with at least an Undergraduate degree in a marketing, communications, or English discipline with a minimum of 3.0 GPA. Graduate degreed individuals also desired.
