Description

This opportunity is available at the U.S. DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory's (ARL), located at Adelphi, MD. Seeking a candidate

with a strong interest in future energy and power science and technologies who has recently studied or is currently studying in

engineering or science. Energy demand is expected to increase across the board and we are working on innovating chemical

and electrochemical energy conversion solutions by researching materials and technologies to harvest local power, convert to

value-added products, and store it quickly and for long times. These multi-disciplinary problems require a team with materials,

engineering, modeling, and design expertise.

Eligibility:

• Experience with lab work in either a work or school setting

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Personal initiative

If selected by an advisor the participant will also be required to write a research proposal to submit to the ARL-RAP review panel for :

  • Research topic should relate to a specific opportunity at ARL (see Research Areas)
  • The objective of the research topic should be clear and have a defined outcome
  • Explain the direction you plan to pursue
  • Include expected period for completing the study
  • Include a brief background such as preparation and motivation for the research
  • References of published efforts may be used to improve the proposal
