One ORISE research opportunity is available with the U.S. Army Public Health Center. APHC is seeking a recent graduate with a bachelors of science in Molecular or Cellular Biology. U.S. Citizenship is Required. The opportunity includes, but is not limited to the following:
The intern will learn the process of applying molecular biology methods to identification of various public health threats in air, soil, and water. Method development activity supports a wide range of learning objectives from routine environmental testing to support of CBRN-PH oriented projects involving detection of microbial DNA. Other projects involve support and exposure to toxicology studies of gene expression in precision cut tissue slices. The intern will gain valuable experience from PhD level coworkers. The experience also involves participation in the water testing program for coli form and E.coli presence in water. The water testing program provides a concrete experience in testing under strict laboratory QC system and accreditation.
APHC is seeking a recent graduate with a bachelors of science in Molecular or Cellular Biology. U.S. Citizenship is Required.
