The ORISE Forensic Chemistry Mini-Academy is a three-day program that introduces students to forensic chemistry. Students will work in teams to solve a mystery by collecting and analyzing evidence using techniques such as chromatography, fingerprinting, shoe imprinting, blood typing, and fiber analysis. The program takes place in the classroom at ORAU in Oak Ridge on June 8-10, 2026, from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Participants must be rising 7th, 8th, or 9th grade students at the time of the program. (This is the grade level the student will be during the 2026-2027 school year).
Priority will be given to students who have not participated in the program in past years. Students who have attended this program in the past will be placed on an alternate list. Alternates will be notified as spots become available.
