Approaches and techniques for measurements in radio cosmology
The Jet Propulsion Laboratory is seeking postdoctoral applications from those with an interest in cosmological measurements with the next generation of instrumentation in the range of radio through mm-wave. Applicants are particularly sought in the areas of 21-cm cosmology, the cosmic microwave background frequency spectrum, and intensity mapping of large-scale structure, with a focus on developing techniques and methods for overcoming the obstacles that have so far limited such measurements. These obstacles include, for example, foreground removal issues, calibration techniques, and other instrument-related systematic errors.
The successful candidate will be expected to identify and carry out an innovative research program in one or more of these science areas.
