Description

This opportunity pertains to observations of solar coronal mass ejections (CMEs) and their effects.   Our group participates in developing the instrumentation and analyzing the resulting rich data archive which includes imaging, spectroscopy, and in situ observations.   Many aspects of the CME phenomenon are studied, including their initiation, propagation, and impacts at Earth and throughout the solar system.   Opportunities exist for participating in research on new techniques of measurement, developing new instrumentation, analysis and interpretation of existing data, as well as theoretical and computational modeling.
